Abstract

|
10 cases (14 knees) of late complicated Osgood-Schlatter disease were treated surgically in the Daegu Military Hospital
The surgical procedures used consisted in i) removal of loose fragments, 6 cases(8 knees), 2) complete superiosteal excision of tubercle with removal of fragment, 4 cases(6 knees) (Table 1).
Surgical approch had been successful with respect to relieving the sympton}s but we still had in most instance the objectionable .knob-like deformity on the knee after removal of fragment.
The authors emphasised that removal of the tubercle is the surest and shortest procudure to bring about a complete and lasting cure.
